DSS to Organize Rallies on June 16 Advocating for Karnataka Cabinet Position for H.C. Mahadevappa
The Karnataka State Dalit Sangharsha Samiti has organized a statewide rally scheduled for June 16. The rally aims to advocate for the inclusion of senior Congress leader and former Minister H.C. Mahadevappa in the upcoming expansion of the State Cabinet.
The group believes that Mahadevappas appointment would enhance representation for the Dalit community within the state government and address their ongoing issues. In recent years, various organizations have called for greater inclusivity in political appointments, emphasizing the need for diverse voices in governance.
H.C. Mahadevappa, a veteran politician with a significant track record in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, has previously held various portfolios including Rural Development and Panchayati Raj. His potential return to cabinet could also signify a strategic move for the Congress party in the state, which is navigating ongoing political challenges. The rally aims to mobilize support and increase public awareness about the demands and aspirations of the Dalit community.
