EPFO Introduces New Portal for Monitoring Inoperative Accounts
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has launched a new initiative called E-PRAAPTI, designed to enhance accessibility to retirement savings for its members. This service will feature an Aadhaar-based authentication system, enabling individuals to securely access their previous Employees Provident Fund (EPF) accounts, even if those accounts are not linked to a Universal Account Number (UAN).
The move aims to facilitate seamless access to previous EPF balances, particularly for those who may have switched jobs without transferring their EPF accounts or obtained a UAN. The introduction of E-PRAAPTI is expected to streamline the process of managing and tracking retirement funds, thereby assisting employees in consolidating their savings for a more secure financial future.
As part of its commitment to enhancing member services, the EPFO continues to leverage technology to improve the user experience. This feature not only helps individuals check their EPF account balance easily but also ensures that they can keep track of their pension savings throughout their employment lifecycle.
