Indian Army Builds 190-Foot Bailey Bridge in Wayanad to Aid Landslide-Affected Regions

The construction of the new bridge commenced on July 31 at 9:30 PM and reached completion the following day, August 1, at 5:30 PM. This project was executed by a local construction firm specializing in infrastructure development.

The bridge, which spans a major thoroughfare, is designed to improve traffic flow and enhance safety for both vehicles and pedestrians in the area. The construction was undertaken as part of a broader initiative to upgrade transportation infrastructure in the region, which includes several other ongoing projects aimed at modernizing transit routes and increasing connectivity.

Once operational, the bridge is expected to significantly reduce travel times and contribute to economic growth by easing the movement of goods and services. Further updates on the project’s impact and future infrastructural plans are anticipated from local city officials.
