KEA Introduces KEA Connect App to Assist Students with Counseling Navigation

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has introduced a new mobile application called KEA Connect, designed to assist students navigating the counselling process for this years admissions. This initiative seeks to eliminate the influence of intermediaries and offer free, direct guidance to students seeking advice from their peers.

Through the app, experienced students who successfully secured seats via KEA counselling last year can mentor current aspirants. Each mentor is capable of supporting up to five mentees through in-app messaging, ensuring a personalized experience while also maintaining user privacy.

As of now, the platform has attracted 1,372 volunteers who are willing to serve as mentors, and 1,724 students have registered as mentees. Currently, there are 89 active mentor-mentee pairs engaging in discussions and support. The KEA Connect app is part of a broader effort to streamline the admission process and enhance accessibility for students in Karnataka.
