Kerala Elections: 2.2 Million Voters to Participate at Polling Booths in Palakkad
As the election approaches, enhanced security measures have been implemented to facilitate a smooth voting process for the upcoming polls. A total of 71 candidates across three major political alliances—Left Democratic Front (LDF), United Democratic Front (UDF), and National Democratic Alliance (NDA)—will be competing for voter support.
In preparation for the election, officials have established 2,531 polling stations, an increase from the 2,112 stations that were set up during the 2021 elections. This expansion aims to improve accessibility for voters and reduce wait times on election day.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure compliance with security protocols and to address any potential challenges that may arise during the voting process. Voter education campaigns are also being conducted to inform the public about the importance of participating in the democratic process and understanding the measures in place to safeguard the integrity of the elections.
