Kerala Chief Minister Assumes Finance and Law Portfolios; Fisheries Allocated to IUMLs Abdul Gafoor
On Wednesday evening, the United Democratic Front (UDF) government officially announced the allocation of Cabinet portfolios. Notably, Congress leader Roji M. John has been appointed as the Minister of Higher Education. In another significant appointment, Ramesh Chennithala has been assigned the portfolios of Home and Vigilance.
The distribution of these portfolios is a crucial step in shaping the UDFs governance priorities and strategies, particularly in areas such as educational reform and public safety. Roji M. John, who has a background in educational policy, is expected to focus on enhancing access to higher education and improving the quality of academic institutions in the state. Meanwhile, Ramesh Chennithala, an experienced politician who has served in various capacities, will be responsible for matters related to internal security and oversight of vigilance operations.
