“NEET UG 2026 Re-Test: Pradhan Assesses NTA Preparedness, Enhances Security and Coordination”

**Union Education Minister Reviews Preparations for NEET-UG 2026 Re-Test**

In anticipation of the NEET-UG 2026 re-test scheduled for June 21, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan conducted a review of the National Testing Agency (NTA) preparations at its headquarters in New Delhi. The examination is a critical assessment for aspiring medical students in India, leading to admissions in various medical and dental colleges.

During the review, Pradhan emphasized the importance of maintaining strict confidentiality throughout the examination process, which includes stages from the creation of question papers to their distribution to examination centers. He underscored the necessity for enhanced coordination among various stakeholders, including state and central government departments, to ensure a smooth execution of the exam.

In addition, Pradhan noted that a meeting chaired by the Cabinet Secretary has already taken place to facilitate seamless planning. A further review is expected to be conducted by the Union Home Secretary to assess security protocols.

To bolster the examinations integrity, new administrative appointments have been made, and additional cyber security measures are being implemented. These measures aim to integrate support from national intelligence agencies, including the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), to protect against any potential malpractice or leaks associated with the examination.

The NEET-UG exam is a crucial stepping stone for thousands of students annually, and the government is focused on ensuring that the upcoming re-test is conducted with the utmost professionalism and security.
