Nirmala Sitharaman Reviews Progress of Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway Construction Near Devanahalli

The Bengaluru–Chennai Expressway has been designated as a key development corridor within the Chennai–Bengaluru Industrial Corridor initiative. This expressway project begins at Hoskote, located at the intersection of National Highways 4 (NH-4) and 207 (NH-207) in the state of Karnataka.

The Chennai–Bengaluru Industrial Corridor aims to enhance connectivity between the two major cities, facilitating smoother transportation of goods and resources. The expressway is expected to significantly reduce travel time, promote economic growth, and attract investments along the route. The project aligns with Indias broader efforts to improve infrastructure and boost the industrial sector through the development of dedicated transport corridors. Additionally, it is part of a larger strategy to bolster regional development and urbanization, tapping into the economic potential of the stretch between Bengaluru and Chennai, which are both vital economic hubs in southern India.
