NUPPL Launches Commercial Operations at Ghatampur Plant Unit-3

NLC India Limited (NLCIL) announced the successful completion of the 72-hour full-load trial operation for Unit-3 of its new supercritical thermal power project on June 13, 2023. The trial was executed smoothly and without interruptions, highlighting the efficiency and readiness of this power generation unit.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for NLCIL as it represents the company’s first foray into supercritical thermal technology, which is known for its higher efficiency compared to traditional thermal plants. Supercritical units operate at a higher pressure and temperature, resulting in a reduction of fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
