Parliamentary Panel Calls Officials from Education Ministry, NTA, and CBI for NEET Paper Leak Inquiry

A parliamentary committee has called upon senior representatives from the Union Education Ministry, the National Testing Agency (NTA), and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a meeting to discuss the integrity of examination processes. This summons comes in light of recent concerns articulated in the Rajya Sabha regarding a potential leak of the NEET-UG 2024 examination paper, alongside an active investigation by the CBI into the matter.

In addition to the NEET-UG concerns, the committee will also convene discussions with officials from the Health Ministry regarding an investigation into what has been termed a “Medical College Scam.” This broader inquiry aims to address various irregularities associated with medical college admissions and related practices. The discussions are part of ongoing efforts to ensure transparency and accountability in the educational assessment system in India.

As the NEET-UG is a crucial examination for students aspiring to enter medical college, the outcomes of these meetings may have significant implications for the management and integrity of future examinations and educational policies.
