### India and New Zealand Strengthen Bilateral Relations During PM Modis Visit

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded a significant visit to New Zealand, during which both nations elevated their relationship to a strategic partnership. This development is seen as a pivotal step in enhancing diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries.

During a meeting with New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, both leaders discussed various topics, including the remarkable economic growth of India, which Luxon praised as “incredible.” He emphasized the need for deeper business connections between the two nations, recognizing Indias potential as a growing market for New Zealands exports.

A key highlight of the visit was the announcement of an Annual Maritime Security Dialogue aimed at promoting cooperation in maritime security and enhancing preparedness for any maritime challenges. This initiative is expected to address shared maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region and ensure the safety of trade routes.

Modi also acknowledged the contributions of New Zealands space sector to Indias successful Chandrayaan-3 mission, highlighting international collaboration in space exploration.

Moreover, the leaders addressed the ongoing process of ratifying a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the two countries, an endeavor that has seen slow progress but is anticipated to bolster economic ties.
