PM Modi to Address Centenary Celebrations of Shri Ram College of Commerce in New Delhi

On September 5, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the centenary celebrations of the Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in New Delhi. This prestigious institution, which has been pivotal in shaping commerce education in India since its establishment in 1926, is celebrating 100 years of academic excellence.

Significantly, this event coincides with Teachers Day in India, a day dedicated to acknowledging the contributions of educators in society. PM Modi will recognize the achievements of the college and its alumni, who have made notable impacts in various fields.

This appearance marks PM Modis return to SRCC 13 years after his famous “glass full” speech, which was pivotal in launching his political journey. His presence at this celebration underscores the governments support for higher education and the importance of institutions that contribute to the nations economic landscape.

Furthermore, to reach the venue, PM Modi opted to take the Delhi Metro, a move likely intended to promote the public transportation system and its usage among citizens.

The Shri Ram College of Commerce is renowned for its rigorous academic curriculum and has nurtured numerous influential leaders in business, politics, and academia over the decades. The centenary celebration is expected to feature various activities highlighting the colleges contributions to commerce and education in India.
