Preparations Underway for Pulse Polio Campaign in Kerala Scheduled for June 28

In the State, an extensive oral polio vaccination campaign is set to target over 1.9 million children under the age of five. To facilitate this initiative, health authorities will establish 22,288 vaccination booths across various locations. Additionally, a dedicated team of 46,663 trained volunteers will be deployed to administer the oral polio drops to ensure widespread coverage and accessibility.

This campaign is part of ongoing efforts to eradicate polio, a highly infectious viral disease that primarily affects children.
