“Research Indicates Yoga May Support Physical and Mental Well-Being”

On the KBN University campus in Kalaburagi, a special program was held to celebrate International Yoga Day, emphasizing the worldwide significance of Yoga. Participants engaged in various yoga sessions and workshops designed to promote physical well-being, mental health, and spiritual growth.

International Yoga Day, observed annually on June 21, was established by the United Nations in 2014 to raise awareness about the advantages of practicing yoga. This years theme, “Yoga for Humanity,” focused on the practices ability to unite people globally and foster a sense of community and belonging.

The program at KBN University featured demonstrations by experienced yoga instructors and interactive sessions that educated attendees on the history and principles of yoga. Local community members, students, and faculty participated, highlighting the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for its holistic health benefits.

In addition to physical exercises, the event also included discussions on mindfulness and stress management techniques, showcasing yoga as a tool for enhancing mental resilience amid contemporary challenges.
