T.N. Chief Minister Vijay Calls for Measures to Secure Drinking Water Supply During Summer

The Chief Minister has directed officials to address and resolve obstacles related to the supply of drinking water across all districts, including the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC). To achieve this, the state government plans to utilize water tankers and other logistical methods to ensure that residents have consistent access to clean drinking water.

This initiative comes amidst concerns over water supply shortages and aims to enhance the infrastructure and distribution system necessary for meeting the needs of the population. The Greater Chennai Corporation, which serves a densely populated urban area, is expected to benefit significantly from these measures, particularly during peak demand periods and during the dry season when water resources may be strained. Further plans may include improvements in water purification systems and enhancements to the overall supply chain management.
