Trinamool Congress Kerala Unit Dissolves Ties with National Leadership, Plans to Establish New Party by May 15

P.V. Anvar, the Kerala State convener of the Trinamool Congress, has announced that a resolution has been passed to rebrand the party as a secular, democratic, and socialist political organization. This move aims to align the party more closely with the political ideologies of the Indian National Congress and the United Democratic Front (UDF).

Anvar emphasized that the repositioning of the Trinamool Congress in Kerala signifies a firm commitment to opposing what he termed “Pinarayism,” a reference to the policies of Keralas Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, along with what he described as fascist ideologies. The resolution reflects the partys intent to strengthen its role in state politics and provide a robust alternative to the current ruling government.

The Trinamool Congress, a national political party based in West Bengal, has been working to expand its influence in other states, including Kerala, where it aims to capitalize on local political sentiments and build alliances with other opposition parties. This strategic realignment could potentially reshape the political landscape in Kerala ahead of future elections.
