TVK Seeks Support from CPI Following Outreach Efforts by Congress and CPI(M)

In an interview with The Hindu, M. Veerapandian, the State Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI), confirmed that the party received a letter from Mr. Vijay on the evening of May 5, 2026. The correspondence was directed to Veerapandian and requested the CPI’s assistance in forming a new government.

This development comes as political parties in the region are strategizing in the wake of recent elections. The CPI, which has historically played a significant role in state politics, will review the request and consider its implications on their political stance and potential alliances. Further discussions within the party are expected to take place in the coming days to determine the response to Mr. Vijays appeal for collaboration.
