As part of this strategic expansion, Vedanta is set to triple its zinc production and double its silver output. A significant capital allocation of $5 billion is earmarked for oil and gas initiatives, indicating the companys commitment to enhancing its energy sector portfolio. The firm is also focusing on increasing hydrocarbon resources to contribute towards India’s energy independence.

Notably, Agarwal emphasized the importance of ramping up production levels in metals, oil, and power as part of Vedantas post-demerger strategy.
