Water Reaches Chinna Bompalle Tank After Two Decades Following Feeder Channel Improvements
District Collector A. Siri announced that the Chinna Bompalle tank in Kosigi mandal has received water for the first time in two decades. This development follows the completion of feeder channel works conducted under the Jaladhara Jalaharathi scheme, a government initiative aimed at improving water resource management and irrigation infrastructure.
The Jaladhara Jalaharathi scheme has been implemented to enhance the supply of water to various tanks and reservoirs in the region, addressing the chronic water scarcity faced by local communities. The restoration of the Chinna Bompalle tank is expected to significantly benefit agricultural practices in the area and improve the availability of water for domestic use. The collector emphasized the importance of sustainable water management and the positive impact these efforts will have on local livelihoods.
Further ongoing maintenance and monitoring will be crucial to ensure that the improvements made under this scheme yield long-term benefits for the residents of Kosigi mandal.
