CIC Directs CBSE to Reveal Tender Process for Procurement of Board Exam Answer Sheets Under RTI Act

Following a review, the Central Information Commission has overturned the Central Board of Secondary Educations (CBSE) previous rejection of information requested under the Right to Information (RTI) Act. The Commission directed the CBSE to provide revised responses to the information requests.

The Commission observed that the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO) had invoked several exemption clauses to deny the information, yet failed to provide adequate justification for these exclusions.
