Vijayawada Airport Reports 1,370% Revenue Increase Over 12-Year Period, According to Director

According to Airport Director Lakshmi Kantha Reddy, the annual passenger traffic at the airport has experienced significant growth, increasing by 504.12%. The number of travelers rose from 233,617 in the fiscal year 2014-15 to approximately 1,411,325 in the fiscal year 2025-26.

This remarkable rise in passenger traffic can be attributed to several factors, including the expansion of flight routes, improvements in airport facilities, and broader economic growth in the region, which has enhanced accessibility and travel options for passengers.
