Andhra Pradesh SIPB Approves Investment Proposals Totaling ₹2 Lakh Crore
Reliance Industries Limited has announced plans to establish a data center in Visakhapatnam, with an estimated investment of ₹1,08,010 crore. This facility is part of the companys broader strategy to enhance its digital infrastructure and cater to the rising demand for data services in India.
In addition to the data center, the company will also initiate a solar power project alongside a battery energy storage system in the Sri Sathya Sai district, featuring an investment of ₹51,300 crore. This project aims to bolster Indias renewable energy efforts and support the transition to sustainable power sources.
The introduction of these initiatives underscores Reliances commitment to diversifying its energy portfolio and investing in digital technologies. The data center is expected to create numerous job opportunities and contribute to the local economy, while the solar power project aligns with the Indian governments goal of increasing renewable energy capacity to meet future energy demands.
The move is part of Reliances ongoing efforts to address the growing need for secure data storage and processing capabilities, as well as to promote clean energy solutions in response to climate change challenges.
